Meals are freshly prepared on site, by our chefs. Our menus are designed to incorporate fresh, homemade meals that provide a wide variety of nutritious benefits. We are always happy to hear what our children like to eat and involve them in menu planning.
There are always vegetarian alternatives, and special dietary intolerances, allergies or religious requirements are catered for.
For children under 12 months, we provide formula stage 1 milk.
Menus are provided via our communication App. Parents are welcome to discuss any dietary issues directly with our chefs.
We constantly review current health guidance and adapt our menus accordingly.
Illness
Sickness/Exclusion Policy for Communicable Disease
It is our policy to ensure that the environment maintains the minimum opportunity for the spread of infection, therefore below is a list of certain illness/diseases which will require a period of time when the child cannot attend the Nursery.
Please be aware that there are many different illnesses/diseases. We will act on the side of caution if we suspect a problem. Please be understanding of our environment and the need to protect others.
We are aware that often illnesses have incubation periods where the child is infectious, however, we cannot control this and therefore as soon as symptoms appear we will act accordingly.
Please note that it is the decision of the Nursery Manager whether a child is unfit for Nursery. These rules have been compiled to ensure that the spread of infection within the Nursery is kept to a minimum.
Inclusion
We pride ourselves on being inclusive. We have a dedicated Special educational needs Manager that works across all settings to ensure that children who require additional support, have full access. Our internal and external SEND training enables early identification of possible additional needs. This then supports the early intervention and close working practices with parents to ensure that children receive all avenues of support. Working closely with external agencies in a collaborate way makes the journey through to school as smooth as possible.

If my child becomes unwell whilst at nursery:
If a child should become ill whilst attending the nursery, every effort will be made to contact the parent/carer. It is therefore essential that up to date records of emergency contact telephone numbers are given to the office.
The Nursery reserves the right to take a child to hospital in an emergency in the event of a parent/carer not being available. Permission forms for this will be signed on registration.
All information of illnesses will be logged on the child’s personal file.
